͹ƵMusic Department to host honors recital

͹ƵMusic Department to host honors recital on September 22.

͹Ƶ’s Music Department is hosting an honors recital at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 22, in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. It will be followed by a public reception in the auditorium lobby.

The following students will be performing:

  • Aaron Galloway (senior, cello) – Marvin and Esther Van Donselaar Music Scholarship
  • Lindsey Mesman (freshman, french horn) – Den Besten Music Scholarship
  • Ella Jahn (sophomore, trumpet) – Gord and Gert Blom Instrumental Music Scholarship
  • Molly Galema (junior, clarinet) – Boone Music Participation Scholarship
  • Andrew Chesebro (freshman, organ) – Den Besten Music Scholarship; LEAH Music Scholarship
  • Rhett Johnson (freshman, piano) – Ringerwole Piano Scholarship
  • Isabel Munson (senior, organ) – John and Reona Reinsma Organ Scholarship
  • Karli Vreugdenhil (senior, organ) – Roossien Organ Scholarship; Carol Lee Zylstra Memorial Church Music Scholarship
  • Joseph P. Mosely III (freshman, voice) – Joe J. Dahm Memorial Music Scholarship
  • Kylie Sorensen (senior, voice) – Kapellmeister Vocal Music Scholarship; Stan & Nancy Speer Music Education Scholarship
  • Isaac Krommendyk (freshman, voice) – LEAH Music Scholarship
  • Rachel Brown (freshman, voice) – Den Besten Music Scholarship

Performers in the honors recital have all received named music scholarships made possible by ͹Ƶ donors. These scholarships were awarded to first-year students who contributed significantly to their high school or community music program and to upperclassmen who have contributed significantly to the ͹Ƶ music program.
