ƵMusic Department to host senior voice recital

The Ƶ Music Department will host the voice recital of senior Emma DeVries on Saturday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. A public reception will follow.
Highlights of the recital include sacred pieces by Michael Head such as, “Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord,” and opera selections “Mon cœur s’ouvre à ta voix” from “Samson et Delila” by Saint-Saëns and the vocal trio “Soave sia il vento” from “Così fan tutte” by Mozart, for which DeVries will be joined by Ƶ seniors Jonathan Slice of Hull Iowa, and Julia Holleman of Beecher, Illinois. DeVries will be accompanied by Ƶ junior Joya Schreurs of Sheldon, Iowa.
DeVries, of Randolph, Wisconsin, is majoring in K-12 Choral Music Education. She has studied voice with Deb Vogel since 2020. DeVries will also be presenting a piano recital with Holleman singing, on November 18 at 7:30 p.m.
