°¼Í¹ÊÓƵmusic faculty to present February recital

Some of Dordt's Music Department faculty will be performing in a recital on February 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ Music Department is hosting a Faculty Recital on Friday, February 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

The faculty performance includes:

  • Darren Van't Hul, voice - Danksagung an den Bach and Am Feierabend from Die Schöne Müllerin by Franz Schubert
  • Dr. Carrie Groenewold, organ - Benedictus, Op. 59, No. 9 by Max Reger
  • Pam De Haan, saxophone - movement I: Andante Maestoso of Sonata for Eb Alto Saxophone and Piano by Robert Muczynski, accompanied by Dr. Carrie Groenewold
  • Pam De Haan, voice - A Word on my Ear by Michael Flanders and Donald Swann, accompanied by Dr. Carrie Groenewold
  • Dr. Onsby Rose, trombone – Concerto for Trombone and Piano by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, accompanied by Pam De Haan

These faculty help teach and support the 20 percent of °¼Í¹ÊÓƵstudents who participate in music through private lessons or ensembles.
