The ƵTheatre Department is putting on fall musical "Peter and the Starcatcher"
The Theatre Arts Department at Ƶ will present “Peter and the Starcatcher” for this year’s fall mainstage musical. Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the play is a humorous take on Peter Pan’s origin story.
“It's a fresh take, with pop culture references and opportunities for the students to influence the action and bring their own humor to it. It's a very relatable story with many elements that will be familiar, told in a creative and exciting way,” says Laurel Koerner, associate professor of theatre arts and scenic designer for the musical.
Director Teresa Ter Haar worked with a cast of 13 students to create this humorous and entertaining production.
Performances will take place October 14, 16, 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. and October 16 at 2:00 p.m. All performances will be held at the Te Paske Theatre, located in the Sioux Center Community School District north of campus.
