°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ

Julia Veldman, a °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ junior studying music: pedagogy and performance, will give a piano recital on Saturday, February 22, at 1 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. The community is invited to the free event, with a public reception to follow.

The recital will feature a selection of classical pieces, including Bach's French Suite, Ravel’s Sonatine, and Mendelssohn’s Rondo & Capriccioso. Veldman describes the Mendelssohn piece as "very exciting," adding that "the opening section is so beautiful!"

In addition to her studies, the Rock Valley, Iowa native serves as the accompanist for °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ's Concert Choir and was selected as the accompanist for the Iowa All-State Choir in 2021. She currently studies piano under Dr. Patrice Ewoldt’s guidance.
