Ƶ to hold two ensemble concerts in March

Ƶ will hold two ensemble concerts in the month of March.
On March 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Ƶ Chamber Orchestra and Campus Community Band will hold a concert. The Chamber Orchestra will delight your ear with the classical era sounds of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 41, “Jupiter.” Following the Chamber Orchestra, the Campus Community Band will bring many standards as well as contemporary music from the wind band repertoire. The Chamber Orchestra is under the direction of Professor of Music Dr. Onsby C. Rose, and the Campus Community Band is led by Music Instructor Dr. Allegra N. Fisher.
On Thursday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m., Ƶ Chorale, Canons of Dordt, Bella Voce, and Concert Choir will present a program of music about Creation, highlighting themes of water and light and our place in the world. Music will feature familiar composers such as Palestrina, Mendelssohn, and Vaughan Williams as well as Andrew Lloyd Weber and Dan Forrest. Also featured is a beautiful composition about the night by lesser-known composer Heinrich von Herzogenberg. Come enjoy an evening of compositions spanning almost 500 years as we explore God’s creation through music.
Both concerts will be available on livestream at /livestream.
