°¼Í¹ÊÓƵ's Lorenzen named All-American

Dordt's Lucas Lorenzen was named to the NAIA All-American First Team after leading the Defenders in scoring and helping secure a GPAC title, becoming the program's third player to earn this recognition.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2024-25 NAIA Men's Basketball All-America Teams and Dordt's (Junior; Milford, Iowa) was named to the NAIA All-American First Team.

Lorenzen led the Defenders in scoring this season with a 22.7 points per game average to go with 5.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He converted 53.7 percent of his field goals and 40.4 percent of his three-point shots and helped the Defenders to a Great Plains Athletic Conference regular season title and a 28-4 record. The 2024-25 team qualified for the NAIA National Championship for the fourth year in a row.

Lorenzen is the second individual in °¼Í¹ÊÓƵprogram history to score over 700 points (727) and he has scored 1,776 career points (5th all-time), grabbed 579 carer rebounds (18th all-time) and made 237 career three-point shots (4th all-time).

Lorenzen is the first °¼Í¹ÊÓƵplayer to claim NAIA First Team All-American honors since Kyle Lindbergh in 2013-14 and is the third individual to do it in program history joining Lindbergh and Greg Van Soelen.
