This coming spring, °¼Í¹ÊÓÆµ will once again host a high school (grades 9-12) juried art showcase. Dordt’s gallery program is excited to celebrate excellence in art through this showcase. Mediums of all types, 2D, 3D, and digital works are all welcome for submission. Art teachers are encouraged to nominate and submit their students’ artwork. There is no limit on the number of students or pieces that may be nominated.

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, February 2.
The exhibit will be in the Campus Center Art Gallery on Dordt’s campus from March 4 to April 4. Teachers will be notified of the selected artist(s) and artwork(s) by February 10.
The artwork should be delivered to °¼Í¹ÊÓÆµon one of the following dates:
A closing reception will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 7-8 p.m.

Recently at an alumni gathering in Sunnyside, Washington, I met Hester Verburg. She was one of the 35 original students who began their studies at Midwest Christian Junior College in Sioux Center, Iowa, on September 14, 1955.
