Dr. Jesse Veenstra
Assistant Professor of Business Administration
In 2020, I answered God's call to return to °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ and share my experiences in finance with students. I love being able to spend time with students and colleagues every day and share my passion with those around me. My teaching responsibilities focus on the Finance area of the department, teaching courses such as Corporate Finance, Investments, and Money and Banking. I also serve as the Faculty Advisor for Defender Capital Management, a student-run investment fund, actively managing around $1 million in assets. My wife Angela teaches at Sioux Center Christian and our two daughters attend school there.
In addition to my teaching, I help with the Cross Country teams at Dordt, and personally compete in endurance sports, including recently completing the Ironman World Championships in Kona, HI.
