Rich Lodewyk
Director of °¼Í¹ÊÓƵMedia Network
Rich Lodewyk currently serves at °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ as °¼Í¹ÊÓƵMedia Director. This involves supervising and leading the °¼Í¹ÊÓƵMedia Network, which includes using the Broadcast Remote Production truck to multi-camera live stream °¼Í¹ÊÓƵAthletics events, concerts and chapels. He also teaches one course each semester in the Communication Department (Comm 235 Television & Radio Broadcasting) and Core 110 Communication Foundations.
Rich graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1988 with a BA in Communications. In 2007, he earned his Masters Degree in Communication at NDSU and taught in the department as Broadcast Program Director for nine years. He was recently the radio play-by-play announcer for the Fargo Force of the United States Hockey League (USHL) on Rock 102 and worked part time as a radio play-by-play announcer for high school and college games on 740 The Fan.
In 1989 he was hired as Sports Director/Anchor at KCWT TV in Wenatchee, WA. In 1991, Rich worked as a freelance sports reporter for TSN (Canadian National Sports Network) and Prime Sports Northwest (now Root Sports in Seattle). In 1995 he was hired as a Sports Reporter/Anchor for WDAY TV Channel 6 in Fargo, ND. His twenty- year television sportscasting career includes working as a radio play by play announcer for the FM Beez of the CBA Basketball league.
His career included working at KVLY TV Channel 11 in Fargo as weekend sports anchor and working for a year as a news reporter for KVLY TV 11. In 2003, he was promoted to Sports Director/Anchor of KXJB TV Channel 4 in Fargo, ND. His television sports experience includes play by play and color commentator for NBC North Dakota’s North Dakota High School Hockey State Tournament, and sideline reporter/host for North Dakota High School Basketball and Football state tournament coverage.
