Tayler Hoekstra is a °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ grad ('16) from the Engineering program with a dual emphasis in Mechanical & Biomedical engineering. He further completed his Masters of Science in Biomedical Engineering through the University of South Dakota ('19). Tayler's Masters work focused on a broad range of biomedical applications including antibacterial materials, 3D printing, prosthetic modeling, & product development. He is still enrolled in USD's Biomedical Engineering program as a PhD candidate with new research focused on the development of a passive lower-limb prosthetic with a design that encourages ease of manufacturing and accessibility as well as providing an adequate restoration of natural, healthy ambulation. Tayler, his wife, & two daughters live in Hull, Iowa where they enjoy singing music together, reading stories, and enjoying time outdoors. Tayler also enjoys singing in the church choir and finds every opportunity he can to play the few instruments he dabbles in.
