Semester in Zambia
The Semester in Zambia is a unique opportunity for students to experience life as a student in Africa. Students will study at , a Christian institution in Zambia. Choose from coursework in business, information technology, theology, or agriculture while building relationships with students in sub-Saharan Africa. This program, open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors, will give you a first-hand view into the struggles and joys of life in Zambia.

Application Process
Step 1: Complete the °¼Í¹ÊÓƵinternal approval process. See David Lee (CA 133) for materials and instructions (email: David.Lee@dordt.edu).
Step 2: Complete all Semester in Zambia application materials:
- Initial Northrise Application Packet:
- Semester in Zambia application: Preview the application, collect the required information, write your essay answers, then complete and submit the application online.
- $50 application fee, payable to °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ.
- 3 Recommendations: Print 3 copies of the Recommendation Form; print and sign your name after one of the statements; give to two faculty members, and one student services member or a pastor to complete.

- Individual Studies Contract Form(s), if necessary
Visa Application Documents (after acceptance)
- Medical report (just the x-ray)
- Copy of passport
- Passport Size Photos ( these can be scanned but the student will be required to submit originals once they arrive in Zambia)
- Acceptance Letter from Northrise University
- Supporting letter from Northrise University
- Copy of Memorandum of Understanding between °¼Í¹ÊÓƵ and Northrise
All application materials are due March 1 for the fall semester and October 1 for the spring semester.
