Noyce Scholars attend mathematics conference in L.A.
Nine mathematics education students who are Noyce Scholars recently attended the National Conference of Teachers of Mathematics in Los Angeles, California.
The Defender trapshooting club narrowly outshot the South Dakota State University (SDSU) Jackrabbits 450-443 in team competition and also took home the first and third place individual awards. The competition was held at the Rock Valley Gun Club, which is the home range for the Defenders.
Scores of note for the Defenders include:
SDSU’s Reed Graunke placed second overall with a score of 97.
The Defenders will next see action at the National Collegiate Shooting Sports Athletic Association (NCSSAA) state shoot November 5 at the New Pioneer Gun Club in Waukee, Iowa.
Fans are welcome to shoot with the Defenders trapshooting club at a team fundraiser to be held at the Rock Valley Gun Club on Friday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. Details can be found on the °¼Í¹ÊÓƵDefender Days online schedule or on team’s Facebook page ().
