Within six months of graduation, 99.3% of the class of 2024 at Ƶ were either employed or pursuing further education, significantly surpassing the national average for private colleges and universities, which is 92%. “Ƶgraduates from the class of 2024 now live in 25 different states, four Canadian provinces, and two other countries,” says Amy Westra, director of career development.
Approximately 93% of graduates report that they are working or studying in fields closely related to their majors, with top industries including education, healthcare, agriculture, construction, and manufacturing.
This high career outcomes rate is rooted in Dordt’s focus on engagement and whole-person formation. “Faculty engage students inside and outside of the classroom by welcoming them not just to their offices, but into their homes and churches,” Westra explains. This engagement extends beyond academics into hands-on learning opportunities like career treks and internships, with 81% of 2024 graduates participating in at least one. On-campus employment and residence life also contribute by helping students build valuable soft skills and a strong sense of community.
